Tools for Sale Scroll Down for Listings We also have clients who are either looking for or want to sell tools. These are not usually wrench sets or screw drivers, but larger items used at the track like pit bikes and quick jacks. Some are interested in shop equipment. To help facilitate their searches, we have created this page where racers can list tools they have to sell free of charge and where those looking for specific items can find them. As with our other sale pages, we considered several listing methods. We have settled, for now, on using our contact us page to list an item. This is to prevent the ever present risk of someone or some computer posting objectionable material on the site. To list your item, please email us a description of it including price and your location. In your description, be sure to include your email address. Please limit your listings to items suitable for building or racing road racing cars. Since our form does not accommodate attachments, we will email you in return so that you can attach your photographs. We will then post your items on this page. This method may change in the future if we devise a more elegant procedure. There is no charge to use this service. All negotiations are between you and the buyer. We do not take part in it in any way. These listings are provided here for the benefit of racers seeking to buy or sell racing parts. Professionally Built Pit Cart ![]() This cart was built by the fabricators of Galles Racing when Galles was one of the top teams in CART. Being very well funded, they spared no expense and did the job right. It is constructed of aluminum on a steel tubing frame and rolls on pneumatic tires. It houses two nitrogen bottles and includes hoses, regulators and hose connections for use on tires, wheel guns and air jacks. The dimensions are: 34 1/2" wide, 64" long, 36" tall. It has two drawers, one shallow and one very deep. It also has three compartments with fold down doors (one is great for pit jacks) and another two door cabinet on one end. We have found it very useful for all the supplies and special tools we need beside the trailer and in the hot pit. It has a heavy gauge aluminum top which makes a good work surface and Delrin rub blocks on the corners to prevent damage in the trailer. The Galles crew even used flush head rivets. It has a detachable tow handle for use behind your pit tow vehicle. We even have a heavy black vinyl cover to prevent moisture damage under your awning when you go back to the hotel. This is a great tool for the professional team or the amateur team wanting to move up to professional operation. This cart would require several thousand dollars to duplicate today. We are letting it go for only $1500. It will truck ship to the lower 48. It's rated at 2 tons and we believe it. We recently used it to move our vertical milling machine to a new location in the shop. This machine weighs about 3300 pounds! With that much weight on it, the hoist was difficult to roll but otherwise, it did not complain at all. It is good for pulling engines, even including Big Block V8s and also great for lifting open wheel cars by the roll bar to put on working stands. The legs and boom both slide in and out and it will disassemble for storage and transport. This is your opportunity to own a really quality shop hoist. Truck ships. $250. Please call or contact us for more photos or with any questions Robert Metcalf 214-298-9837 ![]() ![]() ![]() Bump Steer Gauge This gauge is of the type used by pro race teams. It has two height rods which can be used individually for a height adjustment of 16" to 40" or you could combine them for additional height, although I can't imagine why that would be necessary. The two rods let you bump steer a car on the floor or when it is up on stands like the one here. It has leveling screws, it's powder coated and is first class all the way. It uses two 1" travel dial indicators which are both new. It comes with the bump steer plate made from 1/2" thick aluminum plate. The edges where the indicators run are machined to ensure flatness. The hub on the plate right now fits Indy cars but can be changed out for whatever type of car you run. If you have never bump steered your car, you need to! If you check your bump steer regularly and are tired of the flimsy, unrepeatable and inaccurate bump steer gauges commercially available, this one is the solution to your problem. $250 with the plate, $200 without. Please call or contact us for more photos or with any questions Robert Metcalf 214-298-9837 ![]() ![]() ![]() Nitrogen Regulator If you use nitrogen for tires, shocks, air jacks, etc. you need a regulator. This Victor high pressure model is suitable for air guns and jacks. The output gauge is new and only reads to 100 lbs but the regulator will go much higher if you need it. The input pressure gauge (the bottle pressure gauge) goes to 4000 pounds. It works well but has a small crack in the plastic lens. The output fitting fits most popular air hose connections. This one has been around a bit but everything works and it's ready to go to work for you. Don't risk a cheap, foreign made regulator. Buy an American made Victor regulator that you know works. $100 Please call or contact us for more photos or with any questions Robert Metcalf 214-298-9837 ![]() |
